Most EDC torches make you choose between compact and capable. The Wuben X5 refuses both compromises. Its flat rectangular body — machined from a single piece of 6061 aerospace-grade aluminium with a Type III hard-anodised finish — is fundamentally different in your pocket to a cylindrical torch. It doesn’t roll off desks. It doesn’t create awkward pocket bulges. At just 21mm thick and 127.2g, it sits flush alongside your phone and disappears until you need it.
What’s inside that flat body is equally considered. The Luminus SST36F LED at 5000K neutral white delivers a balanced, natural beam of up to 1300 lumens with a 118-metre throw — bright enough for trail use, vehicle checks, power outages, and any scenario where you need serious illumination from a pocket tool. Five white light output levels from a blinding Turbo down to a 1-lumen Moonlight mode cover everything from full visibility at range to gentle ambient light that won’t blind you at 2am. A rotary dial on the side body selects between white light, UV, and Lockout — no accidental mode changes, no complex button sequences.
The 2W 365nm UV emitter is a genuine inspection tool, not a token addition. At 2 watts of optical power, it reveals stains, pet urine, counterfeit markings, fluorescent residues, and leak traces with clarity that a lower-power UV source simply can’t match. The included ANB1200 1200mAh Li-ion battery charges via the onboard USB-C port in approximately 1.5 hours and powers up to 200 hours of runtime across all modes. When recharging isn’t available, the tail cap opens to accept four standard AAA batteries as a direct swap — a universal backup that’s available in any service station, supermarket, or corner store anywhere in the world.
The bidirectional pocket clip accommodates multiple carry orientations, and the body is compatible with lanyard, pouch, and belt carry.
