The RovyVon E10-LU packs three front-facing light sources into a flat 114g wedge: a Luminus SFT40 white beam at 1700 lumens and 200 metres, a 365nm UV lamp at 2–3W for inspection work, and a 520nm green laser. A centre scroll wheel gives stepless dimming with dedicated UV and laser buttons either side, and an OLED display shows live lumen output, mode and battery. It runs AA-size cells at 1.2V, 1.5V or 3.7V — one, two or mixed — so a 14500 or a service-station alkaline both work. Two-way clip, magnetic base, software lockout, IP67.

PRODUCT INFO

The E10-LU is a flat, wedge-shaped EDC torch measuring 81.8 × 38.2 × 28.8mm and weighing 114g. It carries three separate front-facing light sources — a white LED, a UV lamp and a green laser — and controls them through an interface unlike anything else at this size.

The main beam is a Luminus SFT40 at 7000K cool white, rated to 1700 lumens with a peak intensity of 9000 candela and a 200-metre throw. Worth setting expectations honestly: 1700 lumens is a short Turbo burst, and the torch settles to a sustained output well below that as it warms — normal behaviour for a light this size, but the figure on the box is a peak, not a plateau.

The 365nm UV lamp runs at 2–3W, which is a working inspection output rather than a token emitter. 365nm produces clean fluorescence without the visible violet flood that cheaper 395nm emitters throw out, so it is genuinely usable for leak tracing, stain and mould detection, document and currency checking, and mineral identification. The third source is a 520nm green laser for pointing and signalling.

The control layout is the E10-LU’s signature. A centre scroll wheel — a real wheel, like a mouse — handles the main white light with stepless dimming: roll it to set the exact brightness you want rather than stepping through fixed levels, and click it to change mode. Flanking it are dedicated buttons for UV and laser, so each of the three sources is one press away with no cycling through the others. Owners report the wheel doubles as a fidget, which was clearly intentional.

Above the controls sits an OLED display showing real-time lumen output, the active mode, and remaining battery. On 1.2V and 1.5V cells it reports remaining voltage instead of a percentage. It is the difference between knowing what the torch is doing and guessing.

Battery flexibility is unusually broad. The E10-LU accepts AA-size cells at 1.2V, 1.5V or 3.7V — rechargeable NiMH, standard alkaline, or 14500 lithium — and runs on one or two cells, including mixed configurations. Practically, that means it runs at full capability on a 14500, and still works on an alkaline AA bought at a service station when you are a long way from a charger. Few torches offer that range.

Carry is handled by a two-way clip and a magnetic base for hands-free work on steel. A software lockout — hold the left button for five seconds from off — prevents accidental activation in a pocket. The body is aluminium alloy, rated IP67.

One thing to know before ordering: the E10-LU has front white, front UV and the laser, and no side lights. If side lighting matters to you, the E10 Pro or E10 Max are the models to compare.

Key Features

  • Three front-facing light sources: SFT40 white LED, 365nm UV lamp and 520nm green laser
  • Luminus SFT40 at 7000K cool white — 1700 lumens peak, 9000 candela, 200-metre throw
  • 365nm UV at 2–3W — real inspection output with minimal visible violet bleed
  • 520nm green laser for pointing and signalling
  • Centre scroll wheel with stepless dimming — set the exact brightness, not a preset step
  • Dedicated UV and laser buttons — each source one press away, no mode cycling
  • OLED display shows real-time lumen output, active mode and remaining battery
  • Displays remaining voltage when running 1.2V or 1.5V cells
  • Runs AA-size cells at 1.2V, 1.5V or 3.7V — NiMH, alkaline or 14500 lithium
  • Single, dual or mixed cell operation
  • Two-way clip for pocket, cap or gear carry
  • Magnetic base for hands-free work on steel surfaces
  • Software lockout — hold the left button for 5 seconds from off
  • Flat wedge body at 81.8 × 38.2 × 28.8mm and 114g
  • Aluminium alloy construction
  • IP67 water and dust resistant
  • Note: no side lights on this model — compare the E10 Pro or E10 Max if side lighting is essential

Use Cases / Ideal For

  • Building and pest inspection — 365nm UV at 2–3W finds mould, stains and leaks, with the OLED confirming you have battery left mid-job
  • Mechanics and HVAC techs — UV traces refrigerant and oil leaks, the magnetic base holds it in place, and the scroll wheel sets exactly the brightness a tight engine bay needs
  • Everyday carry — flat wedge shape sits in a pocket at 114g, with three tools in one body
  • Travel and fieldwork — runs on an alkaline AA from any shop when a 14500 is not an option, which very few multi-source torches can claim
  • Presentations and site walkthroughs — the green laser has its own button, so pointing does not mean cycling through white and UV first
  • Close inspection work — stepless dimming avoids the usual problem of one level being too dim and the next washing out the surface
