The Nitecore NWH20 is a work headlamp with electronic focus — stepless spotlight-to-floodlight adjustment at the push of a button, so one headlamp covers close inspection and distance checks without a clip-on diffuser. 4 × 4-core UHE LEDs at 4,500K neutral white give 600 lumens over 89 metres, with 300 lumens running 12 hours and ultralow stretching to 51 hours. An independent red light adds 68 hours of night-vision-safe output. The removable WLB40 4,000mAh pack charges over its own USB-C port, so a spare swaps in mid-shift. 149g, IP66, with four hard hat clips included.

PRODUCT INFO

The NWH20 is a work headlamp built around one feature that sets it apart from almost everything else in the category: electronic focus. Most work headlamps give you a fixed beam and a clip-on diffuser you eventually lose. The NWH20 lets you move steplessly between spotlight and floodlight at the push of a button, plus a quick focus adjustment when you need to change fast — so one headlamp covers reading a gauge at arm’s length and checking a run of conduit down the far end of a plant room.

Light comes from 4 × 4-core NiteLab UHE LEDs at 4,500K neutral white. That colour temperature is a deliberate choice for work: cooler than warm white so it stays crisp and alert, warmer than the 6,500K cool white most torches use so it does not wash out colour or glare back off pale surfaces. Maximum output is 600 lumens with an 89-metre beam at 1,982 candela.

Runtime is where this headlamp earns its place on a job. Mid at 300 lumens runs 12 hours — comfortably past a standard shift — and Ultralow at 40 lumens runs 51 hours. In between sit Turbo at 600 lumens (5hr 30), High at 450 (7 hours) and Low at 150 (17 hours). SOS and Location Beacon both run at the full 600 lumens.

An independent auxiliary red light runs 20 lumens for 16 hours, 5 lumens for 68 hours, or a slow flash. Red preserves dark-adapted vision and marks your position without lighting up a work area.

Controls are two top-mounted buttons with distinct shapes and tactile feedback, so you can tell them apart by feel — which matters when you are wearing heavy work gloves and cannot look at your own forehead. A 160° adjustable tilt puts the beam exactly where the task is rather than where your head happens to point.

Power is the included WLB40 4,000mAh Li-ion battery pack, which is removable and has its own integrated USB-C charging port — so you can charge it off the headlamp, or carry a charged spare and swap it mid-shift rather than waiting. That is the practical difference between a headlamp that covers a long day and one that doesn’t.

The NWH20 ships with four hard hat clips alongside the headband, which tells you who it was designed for. It weighs 149g, measures 92 × 44 × 51mm, and is rated IP66 against heavy rain and dust with 2 metres of impact resistance.
