The Mateminco MT05 operates on a simple but highly effective principle: use the right LED for the job. A single Luminus SFT42R — a round-die high-throw LED known for producing exceptionally dense, clean hotspots — handles long-range illumination, delivering a 586-metre beam with 86,000 candela of peak intensity from a compact 41mm head. Four Lumileds HL2X-V flood LEDs surround it, firing in a wide spread for close-range area coverage. The result is a torch with genuine dual-mode capability — reach when you need distance, flood when you need presence — without compromising either.
Stepless dimming is the MT05’s standout control feature. Rather than fixed output steps, brightness adjusts continuously along a smooth ramp from a low moonlight-level all the way to the full 6200-lumen maximum output — stopping at exactly the level you need. This gives far more practical control than a torch with three or four preset modes, particularly for tasks where precise brightness matching matters.
The XBD red and XBD blue auxiliary LEDs set the MT05 apart from most torches in its class. Red and blue warning light capability — selectable independently or in combination — makes it a practical tool for roadside emergency signalling, cycling safety, incident management, and any application where coloured warning signals are required. Combined with a dedicated strobe mode, the MT05 covers genuine emergency signalling scenarios that most single-colour torches cannot.
