This is the UV version of the SK05 Pro 2 — the same flat EDC platform with a 365nm ultraviolet emitter added alongside the white and RGB outputs. 365nm is the wavelength that produces genuine fluorescence with minimal visible violet bleed, making it a real inspection tool for leaks, stains, mould and documents. The white side is unchanged: a 2500-lumen spotlight reaching 410 metres, a 3800-lumen floodlight, and 5000 lumens combined on Turbo, plus a 38-LED Ra>90 sidelight and 22 RGB LEDs. Two swappable 4000mAh cells, 22W USB-C in and out, detented rotary dial, magnetic tail cap and IP68.

PRODUCT INFO

The SK05 Pro 2 UV is the same flat-bodied EDC platform as the standard SK05 Pro 2, with one addition that changes what the torch is for: a 365nm ultraviolet emitter sitting alongside the white and RGB outputs. Everything else — the dual white channels, the high-CRI sidelight, the swappable 8000mAh power system, the rotary dial, IP68 — carries over unchanged.

365nm is the wavelength that matters. The cheap UV emitters found in most torches run at 395nm, which spills a great deal of visible violet light and washes out the fluorescence you are trying to see. A true 365nm source produces far less visible bleed, so the thing that glows actually stands out against a dark background. That is the difference between a UV mode that is a novelty and one you can work with — checking banknotes and documents, tracing refrigerant and oil leaks, finding pet stains or mould, inspecting a hotel room, or identifying minerals.

The white output is unchanged and still substantial. The spotlight delivers 2500 lumens at 6500K and reaches 410 metres; the floodlight runs to 3800 lumens across a wide, soft spread. Turbo fires both at once for 5000 lumens as a controlled burst that steps down rather than cutting out. Four levels — 2500, 950, 320 and 40 lumens — cover everything between a night trail and a close repair.

The sidelight runs 38 high-CRI LEDs rated Ra>90 for 120 lumens of colour-accurate light across the flat face of the torch — the mode most owners end up using daily, because getting wire colours or fluid colours right matters. 22 RGB LEDs handle signalling, hazard marking and ambient light. With white, RGB and UV together, this is genuinely a three-function inspection tool rather than a torch with extras bolted on.

Control is a mechanical rotary dial with detented stops, so every mode can be found by feel alone — in the dark, with gloves, without cycling through the others to get there. Rotate to the mode, press to activate. An automatic lockout engages after a period of inactivity so it will not switch on in a pocket.

Power is two replaceable 4000mAh cells, 8000mAh total. Because they swap out, a flat torch is a two-second fix rather than a dead tool, and the torch outlasts any set of cells. Runtime reaches up to 48 hours on low and up to 111 hours on the sidelight. 22W USB-C charges it quickly and works in reverse as a 22W power bank for a phone or GPS. The side panel shows real-time battery voltage at startup.

The shell is machined aluminium with a grip that holds wet or gloved, rated IP68. A magnetic tail cap mounts it to a bonnet, switchboard, frame or tent pole, and a pocket clip handles belt and pack carry. Strobe and SOS complete the mode set.

Key Features

  • 365nm UV emitter — the wavelength that produces real fluorescence with minimal visible violet bleed
  • Three light types in one torch: white, RGB and 365nm UV
  • Two independent white channels: 2500-lumen spotlight (410m, 6500K) and 3800-lumen floodlight
  • Turbo fires both white channels for a 5000-lumen maximum with controlled step-down
  • Four brightness levels: 2500 / 950 / 320 / 40 lumens
  • Sidelight with 38 high-CRI LEDs (Ra>90) producing 120 lumens of colour-accurate light
  • 22 RGB LEDs for signalling, hazard marking and ambient lighting
  • Flat body — carries flush in a pocket and lies flat on any surface
  • Mechanical rotary dial with detented stops — select any mode by feel, in the dark or with gloves
  • Automatic lockout prevents accidental activation in a pocket
  • Two replaceable 4000mAh cells, 8000mAh total — swap rather than replace the torch
  • Up to 48 hours runtime on low, up to 111 hours on sidelight
  • 22W USB-C fast charging, and 22W power bank output for other devices
  • Real-time battery voltage shown on the side panel at startup
  • Magnetic tail cap for hands-free work on any steel surface
  • Pocket clip for belt, pocket or pack carry
  • Strobe and SOS modes

Use Cases / Ideal For

  • Building and pest inspection — 365nm UV traces mould, stains and fluid leaks properly, where a 395nm emitter washes them out
  • Mechanics and HVAC techs — UV finds refrigerant and oil leaks, the Ra>90 sidelight reads colours accurately, and the magnetic tail holds it in place
  • Electricians — colour-accurate sidelight for wire identification with a dial that works through gloves
  • Travel — UV for checking hotel rooms and hire cars, 22W power bank for the phone, and a flat profile that packs alongside a laptop
  • Camping and hiking — RGB and sidelight for the tent, 111-hour sidelight runtime, and spare cells instead of a flat torch on day three
  • Emergency and roadside — Strobe, SOS, hazard-colour RGB marking, magnetic mounting and power bank output in one flat package
