The Loop Gear SK05 Pro 2 is a flat EDC torch running two independent white channels — a 2500-lumen spotlight reaching 410 metres and a 3800-lumen floodlight — that combine on Turbo for 5000 lumens. A 38-LED high-CRI sidelight (Ra>90) gives 120 lumens of colour-accurate light for close work, with 22 RGB LEDs for signalling and ambient use. A detented rotary dial selects any mode by feel, two replaceable 4000mAh cells give up to 48 hours of runtime and 22W power bank output, and the machined aluminium body is IP68 with a magnetic tail cap.

PRODUCT INFO

The SK05 Pro 2 is a flat-bodied EDC torch, and the shape is the point. At roughly 106 × 48 × 23mm it sits flush in a pocket alongside a phone instead of rolling around like a tube light, and it lies flat on a bench or dashboard without needing anything to prop it. Loop Gear have then filled that flat body with more capability than the format usually allows.

There are two independent white channels. The spotlight puts out 2500 lumens through a 6500K emitter and reaches 410 metres. The floodlight runs to 3800 lumens across a wide, soft spread for area coverage. Select Turbo and both fire together for the full 5000 lumens — a short burst of everything the torch has, followed by a controlled step-down rather than an abrupt cut. Four brightness levels — 2500, 950, 320 and 40 lumens — cover the range from a roadside repair to picking a trail at night.

The sidelight is the feature that gets used most and is easiest to overlook. 38 high-CRI LEDs rated Ra>90 produce 120 lumens of colour-accurate light across the flat face of the torch. That accuracy matters when you are matching wire colours, reading a gauge, checking a fluid, or working on anything where getting the colour wrong has consequences. Alongside them sit 22 RGB LEDs for signalling, hazard marking and ambient light — genuinely useful in a tent or as a warning marker, and pleasant to have at a campsite.

Control is a mechanical rotary dial rather than a button sequence, which is the single biggest usability change over the previous model. Rotate to the mode you want — spot, flood, sidelight, RGB — then press to activate. The dial stops at each position, so you can find the setting you want by feel alone, in the dark, wearing gloves, without cycling through everything else to get there. An automatic lockout engages after a period of inactivity so it will not switch itself on in a pocket.

Power comes from two replaceable 4000mAh cells — 8000mAh in total. Because they are replaceable rather than sealed in, a flat torch is a battery swap rather than a dead tool, and the torch outlives any one set of cells. Runtime reaches up to 48 hours on the low flashlight setting and up to 111 hours on the sidelight. USB-C charging at 22W refills it quickly, and the same port works in reverse: the SK05 Pro 2 doubles as a 22W power bank for a phone, headlamp or GPS. On startup the side panel shows real-time battery voltage, so you know exactly where you stand rather than reading a three-segment guess.

The shell is machined aluminium with an ergonomic grip that stays secure wet or gloved, and it is rated IP68. A magnetic tail cap sticks it under a bonnet, inside a switchboard, to a car frame or a tent pole, and a pocket clip holds it to a pocket, belt or pack strap without catching or scratching. Strobe and SOS round out the mode set.
