Every tactical torch can put out lumens. The Fenix TK15R does something fundamentally different — it thinks. At the heart of the TK15R is IRIS X, Fenix’s proprietary adaptive light control system. An integrated lux sensor continuously reads light reflected back from the environment and automatically adjusts output in real time. Illuminate a distant treeline and the TK15R holds at up to 2000 lumens for maximum reach. Swing the beam to check an ID or search a confined space and it instantly dims to 30 lumens — no glare, no blinding yourself or others, no manual cycling. The transition is smooth, fast, and intelligent.
When you need precise manual control, a three-position mechanical toggle switch instantly shifts the TK15R into Duty mode — four fixed output levels from 30 lumens up to a blazing 3200 lumens with a 490-metre beam distance, plus instant strobe. A third toggle position activates Lockout mode, preventing any accidental activation in a holster, bag, or pocket. Between the toggle and the functional side switch, every output and mode is accessible without breaking your grip or your focus.
The tactical tail switch handles the fundamentals with precision: momentary-on for quick flashes and constant-on for sustained illumination — exactly what professionals need under pressure. The side switch provides output level selection within Duty mode and doubles as the strobe activator. A 150-lumen Quick Access mode is also available via the functional switch for a reliable middle-ground output without mode cycling.
Power comes from the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 21700 battery, rechargeable directly in the torch via the USB-C port in approximately 1.5 hours. A built-in battery level indicator and low voltage warning keep you informed of remaining charge. Intelligent overheat protection manages thermal load during extended high-output use, stepping down brightness proactively to protect the torch and maintain operational reliability.
