PRODUCT INFO

This is the Multi-Light-Source version of the X80GT 3 — the configuration built for work where white light alone is not enough. 24 LEDs in total: 18 cool-white producing up to 23,000 lumens, 4 red at 660nm, and 2 UV at 365nm, plus a separate high-CRI side light. All of it in a body 119.3mm long weighing 556.7g.

The white beam reaches 401 metres at 40,200 candela. Six levels run from Ultra Low at 100 lumens for 21 hours through to Turbo at 23,000 lumens, which holds for 30 seconds before stepping to a sustained 3,200 lumens for 1 hour 51, then 100 lumens for a further 70 minutes. High gives 10,000 lumens for 4 minutes then the same sustained pattern, and Med 2 delivers 5,100 lumens for 20 minutes before settling. It is a searchlight: the headline figures are burst outputs and the sustained 3,200 lumens is the number to plan around.

The red light is the reason this version exists. Four 660nm emitters give 400, 130 and 20 lumens with runtimes of 4h38m, 15h23m and 88 hours. 660nm is deep red — it preserves dark-adapted vision far better than the orange-red most torches use, which matters enormously when you are working underground or observing at night and cannot afford to lose your night vision every time you need light.

The 2 × 365nm UV emitters run at 1,300mW on High for 11 hours, 400mW for 35 hours, and 64mW for 158 hours. That is a serious UV output — enough for fluorescence detection on rock walls, mineral identification, and inspection work, at the 365nm wavelength that produces clean fluorescence rather than a violet wash.

A separate high-CRI side light at 6500K and CRI 95+ lights your immediate surroundings without blinding you — 80 lumens for 32 hours, 30 lumens for 115 hours, or 4 lumens for 470 hours. It runs on its own or synchronised with the main beam, so you can have distant and close-range light at once.

Output quality is handled by an FCCM boost constant-current driver and non-PWM dimming — completely flicker-free, which matters over long sessions and when filming. The lens is 4mm anti-reflective glass.

An important point about power. This version uses a swappable 4 × 18650 3000mAh high-drain battery compartment with replaceable cells, so a spare set restores full runtime in seconds in the field. It does not have the built-in pack and 60W USB-C charging of the White Light version — you will need an external charger. For expedition and caving work that trade is usually the right way round, but it is worth knowing before you order.

A three-position magnetic mechanical lock handles safety and mode selection. Carry it handheld, by the patented detachable handle, or mount it on a tripod via the UNC ¼” threaded socket. The torch is rated IP68 for waterproof and dustproof protection.

Use Cases / Ideal For

  • Caving and underground exploration — the configuration Acebeam designed this version for: white for the chamber, UV for rock-wall fluorescence, deep red to protect night vision, and swappable cells underground
  • Search and rescue — 23,000-lumen burst to read a scene, 3,200 lumens sustained for nearly two hours, and spare cells rather than a flat torch mid-operation
  • Forensics and crime scene work — 1,300mW of 365nm UV alongside a CRI 95+ side light for close examination
  • Mineral identification and fossicking — genuine UV output at the wavelength the field specifies, with 158 hours of runtime on Low
  • Night observation and wildlife work — 660nm deep red at three levels, up to 88 hours, without destroying dark adaptation
  • Expedition and remote fieldwork — tripod mountable, detachable handle, and a battery system designed around swapping rather than charging
