LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology produces the tightest, longest-reaching beams in handheld lighting — but traditional LEP torches sacrifice close-range visibility to achieve it. The AceBeam W20 changes that. Its refined optical system pairs a tiny 2mm LEP emitter with a precision reflector to produce a focused long-range beam with genuine wide-angle spill, giving you both 1100-metre reach and functional illumination at your feet.
It’s the first LEP torch that works in both worlds.
At the heart of the W20 is an automotive-grade chip and sapphire-based phosphor — a step above the components found in most LEP torches. Sapphire is one of the hardest and most thermally conductive materials on earth, allowing the phosphor to withstand significantly higher operating temperatures without degradation. The result is superior thermal durability, sustained output stability, and a longer service life under demanding conditions.
Operating the W20 is fast and decisive. A control ring around the body lets you select Low, Medium, or High directly — no cycling through modes — while the tactical tail switch provides momentary or constant-on activation and strobe access without repositioning your grip. For mounted or weapon-light applications, this dual-switch layout means the light is ready exactly when you need it.
The included 16340 850mAh USB-C rechargeable battery charges in approximately 2.5 hours and is also compatible with CR123 batteries as a universally available backup. The battery is fully replaceable, giving you the option to carry a spare for extended operations. A two-way clip provides solid, secure attachment to pockets, belts, and gear — keeping the W20 oriented and accessible at all times.
At just 115.1mm long and 130.6g, the W20 handles like a standard EDC torch but performs like a specialist long-range tool. AL6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium with a hard-anodised finish and an IP68 waterproof rating ensure reliable performance in severe weather, and the build is tested to survive drops from 1.5 metres.
